Bob Sandoval ~ 2-26-07 ~  Monarchs,
I had a great time seeing, talking with, laughing with, remembering all the
mischief, and wondering what lurks behind the smiles and silver hair of our
motley crew.
It was comforting to me that there were just a few grown ups in attendance.
At first I asked myself, who are these old people? It was me and you.
Blah, Blah....It was neat that many of  my 3rd grade class were there like
Annette, Charlotte, Mal, Jeff, Dave, Linda, and Susan.
But my fondest memories were on Sweetwater Rd. and the people I shared laughs
with. I honored you showed up.
Keep it real.

Annette Lux ~ 2-4-07 ~ I'm with you Joanne.  It was such great fun to see everyone.  Really.  It
was like time stood still and we picked up right where we left off.  Thanks soooooo much to all the
committee members who worked so hard to put this on.  It went off without a hitch!  And I've been to a
thousand dinner events in my career, and this one was right up there on top.

Joanne, you haven't changed one tiny iota.  It's that great sense of humor that keeps you so young.

Clay, I'm so sorry to hear you lost your house in the big fires.  Good luck in Tucson.  Patty, thanks for
"arranging" to have your VW bug at the top of the quad stairs back then!  Who knew it would be worth a gift
certificate to the Brig 40 years later!  Karen, you look great!  And Jordon, bless you for remembering we
were in Scherazade together!

1966, you rock!!!

Annette

Joanne Spears ~ 1-29-07 ~ You all need to know how absolutely great it was to see you
Saturday night!  My cheeks hurt when I got home from laughing. Everything was done so
nicely, everyone looked so good and I cannot wait until the next reunion. There
was a sense of "family" about it all. Ed & Dave could get their own talk show on
a major network and Jordan Couch could take his dancing on tour!
It was stunning. There were many folks I didn't get a chance to talk to and I
apologize. Take good care and until next time.

Lorena Rukstelis ~ 1-22-07 ~ To Ted Dedrick -
Hi Ted,  Would you ask your Dad if he remembers a "crusty" old Vet who at one time was stationed in San
Diego and worked at the Naval Hospital in Balboa Park. I was in Denver recently visiting a friend who has
several horses and met Dr. John (no one seemed to remember his last name).  We struck up a
conversation and I asked him if he knew your father, he remembered him well.  Dr. John is quite a
character and a masterful vet.  All the horse people in Denver love him.

Annette Lux ~ 1-7-07 ~ I forgot to add this to the last e-mail:
Three cheers to the reunion committee for putting this all together.  You guys are the greatest!

Annette Lux ~ 1-7-07 ~ Hey Joanne:
You're so right - I'm still thinking everyone is 18 - but it's our 40th!!  How scary is that!  Can't wait to see
you.

Joanne Spears ~ 1-1-07 ~I was knocked out sideways to see the photo of the reunion
committee! In my mind I keep thinking everyone still looks like they did in June 1966 at graduation with
their parents. I did, however, recognized everyone in the pic. If Charlene Morris Yale is reading this...come
to the reunion. I would LOVE to see you!
