Margie Klukas Cavallucci ~ Tucson, AZ
After graduation, I went to college for 3 semesters and then got married.. The following
year I had my first son, Michael, and then 2 years later, I had my second son, Patrick..
Over the course of the next 15 years, we owned several businesses, including a store at
Grossmont Center for 7 years. In 1983, we moved to Tucson, Arizona where we bred,
raised, showed and raced American Quarter Horses. During this time, my sons got
married and produced 3 wonderful grandchildren, 2 boys and 1 girl. In 1997 after 30
years of marriage, my husband and I divorced and I was thrown into the working world. I
became a relief manager for a Hotel Chain for 2 years, then went to work for a resort for
1 year, and in 2000 went to work for Abrams Airborne Mfg. They do precision sheetmetal
work, CNC machining, aluminum dip brazing, certified welding as well as numerous
assemblies for aerospace, outerspace, military and commercial customers. They are
also the parent company of VLTOR Weapons Systems, which supplies small arms
accessories to the public and assault rifles to the Navy Seabees. Another subsidiary of
Abrams is MILKORUSA, which supplies grenade launchers to the Marines in Iraq. I have
been there for 6 1/2 years and I have gone from assembly, to part marking, to document
control (in charge of the blueprints for jobs) to the front office where I now type and send
all the job bids, put the new jobs into production, do all the shipping paperwork, arrange
transportation for shipments and invoice the customers. It is very fast paced, but I love
what I do. Most importantly throughout all of this, is that in Dec. 1998 I met and married
the true love of my life, Ray Cavallucci, and have found out what a good marriage really
is. Also included was another son who is like my own. For fun, we show 2 classic cars, a
1934 Ford sedan and a 1955 pro-street Chevy. We also find time to ride our
motorcycles and horses. I am very content where I am at this point in my life and am very
much looking forward to what the future will bring.
